..... if as u call it voodoo engineering ,, then those who doing the engineering must be voodoo engineers ,, somehow ,, i have an inkling that u may be unto some thing here ,, since for the longest while i have been trying to get these ,, who lead (?) to come to grips with the reality that ,, the Amazon and the rain forest
of which GY is an integral part ,, is not goin to disappear so that the economic stability can be secured ,, and there is no telling precisely just how much rain is expected ,, added to the ammount of melting that will take place during the summer months of the Andes ,, which is now ,, thus increasing the head waters ,, from the Amazon ,, added with the rainforest drainage ,, that holds the largest watershed on the planet ,, 2,722,000square miles ,, all the rivers in Gy are sub - tributaries of the Amazon ,, and combined with our own silting problems ,, from our mining activities ,, logging ,, etc,,, we r mindlessly adding to what is considered natural ,, if this is to be the foundation for our economic transportation to the 21 st,, century ,, then sadly ,, i have to say ,, that this is a myopic ,, plan ,, that is visionless ,, and mediocre in conception ,, that if not corrected ,,, modified and turned around ,, will result in an unspeakable tragedy ,,
that will make jonestown pale in comparison ,, not in the same circumstances but in more ways than one,, similiar ,,

it is not of consequence the ammount of rain that would be evident on the coast ,, but that which is coming from the Amazon ,, the Rio negro the largest tributary of the Amazon ,, the Rio Branco ,, is a sub - tributary of the Negro ,, -- so named for the blackest water found on the planet -- and is the major source for the Essequibo and and many other rivers in GY ,,

GY is affected on two fronts ,, from the Amazon ,, all the mouths of every river and creek that empties into a major river that subsequently empties in the Atlantic ,, is silted up from the more than 3 million tons of silt ,, deposited at the mouth of the Amazon each day ,, added to this ,, the river themselves is dying ,, from the erosion ,, from all forms of economic activity ,, this silt finds it self at the mouth of the rivers that flow to the Atlantic ,, added to this pic the silt being lodged at the edge of a shallow saucer which is the topography of the coast that is the shores to the ATLANTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is voodo engineering. The MMA should try to clear the Abary River which is silted. This is literally impossible to do.
The people in the Mahaicony will continue to suffer from flooding due to poor operation and maintenance of the Scheme.
