US authorities yesterday issued an arrest warrant for drug accused Guyanese, Ghalee Khan after he failed to appear in a New York court for his arraignment.
According to a WRHM Capitol News report, Ghalee’s co-accused Danvor Griffith 38, showed up in court yesterday but there was no sign of Khan.
Meanwhile the man’s relatives said that they could not locate him.
Khan and Griffith were both busted on November 3 after a cocaine drop was allegedly made at a New York location. The two were reportedly tracked after leaving Guyana but were allowed to make the drop at the New York location where they were eventually picked up by Federal Agents.
Khan, a 31-year-old businessman and promoter, who owns a clothing store in Georgetown appeared in court the week following his arrest and was granted US$200,000 bail by Justice Ramon E. Reyes on a charge of distributing cocaine.
His co-accused Griffith had already appeared before the Brooklyn Federal court the Monday following his arrest on narcotics related charges and was granted US$250,000 bail but on the condition that his mother sign over her house to the US government.

there goes a house, may be he has more of value than that, he can run but the arms of the law is longer and will get him.
i said that before, his mom might become homless.
I hope he is not worming his way back to Guyana, because he is not going to be extradited. He is going to continue doing his ‘business’ as usual. If he is found guilty after trial, let him become a guest of Hotel Fed for at least 20 years.
business in guyana must really be blooming in order for someone to be able to make a $200,000 US bond(bail), which requires a 10% down payment ($20,000) in order to be free on bail time.
dove, I don’t know if you know this, but the FEDS don’t take 10%…
It’s amazing that the newspaper called these people businessmen.
Not the newspapers called them businessmen…it is like how you are a blogger,,his profession is Businessman,,that will be on his passport..he is a clothes vendor and that make him a businessman..
The fugitive from justice may have “DEPARTED”. IF not He thinks this is the Guyana Courts where anything goes round and round the mayberry bush.
badal you are talking and dancing to your own tune…you said if he thinks this is guyana court…if was guyana he would have been remanded…and how can he depart if they are so strict..we need to stop balme our country..and praise the others which are worst and nobdy highlite them…
I really do not think so he cannot cross our borders that easy he will be found soon he cannot hide for long.he will be apprehended. his buddies will turn him in.
There are too many so-called businessmen in Guyana. Selling clothes in GT, exporting coke to NY. All that glitters is not gold
Run Ghalee run…LOL
US200K, yes someones house only if the courts asked for that. If its liquid cash they got, then, thats nothing . I am just guessing here. If he makes his way back to GT, then his travel will be limited, we all know he cannot go to TNT.
