A 20-year-old man who allegedly robbed two persons of a quantity of cash among other items by using a gun and then a cutlass was remanded to prison yesterday when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Kelvin Emperor was not required to plead to two indictable counts of robbery under arms.
It is alleged that on November 23, Emperor used a gun to rob Trevor Brandt of two cell phones valued $12,000, a quantity of Digicel Flex cards valued $16,000 and $16,000 in cash.
It is also alleged that on December 8, Emperor used a cutlass to rob Fitzroy Cummings of two cell phones valued $94,000.
The magistrate subsequently ordered that Emperor be remanded to prison and that he appear again in court on January 10.

I was wondering if this is the husband of the blogger from Jamaica,by way of WISMAR, EMPRESS MENIN. LOL. On a serious note, there should be regulation of the cell phone industry.
this bandit should not see the day of light again.
Something about these headlines “Emperor remanded…” “Thief caught after snatching long-distance runner’s phone…” “Kidnap expert kidnapped” etc. Love them!
My thing is…why can these young adults be of positive substance to society rather than being a total nuisance????
My thing is… why can these people (especially young adults) be of positive substance to society rather than them being a total nuisance?????
He sure won’t be making any calls any time soon, happy he was caught.
