I was in Guyana last mth and if u seee how dem ungrateful ppl callin my husband phone when they get in trouble ” Can I talk with CPL……” I wud be ohh hes not home they wud be ohhh plz tell he 4 cal so snd so The cops dem pull me in 4 licence blah blah…. but I know how guyaneze can be ungrateful especially with police officer they want to be frens with them but behind their back stab them … plz acknowlege the good works these guys doing.. they r not the one send those beast to kill that young beautiful woman.. its a civilian juss like us so blame him 4 being a real jerk…OPEN UR EYES PPL…CANADA AND AMERICA SO ADVANCE AND STILL THEY HAVE CRIMES NOT GUYANA ALONE…

I agree but just sometimes one may not be able to read through the lines. I remember my mom was dating a guy who was the sweetest person, very attentive to us and provided for us, but after a while and i don’t mean months he started lying. And the lies became more lies, once they revealed themselves to my mom and he knew she knows he would argue. Eventually he became jealous because my mom would come home late if she worked overtime. He started to drive fear into her by hanging out at places he knew she would be like her job, her bingo games and sorts of crap. Being the eldest my mom confided in me, i said he will not do such i was 17 and knew i had to stand up for her since she was not the partying type, but my mom’s only concern was for her children because she did not wan him to flip. i told her mom i would be the one flipping on him. Being a home economic student i had a knife set, since it was customary to display and indicate the purpose of each knife at class…long story short one day he hit my mom something i had never witness as a child. i grab the chef knife from the set with the intent to really injure him, however my neighbours held me back. So sometimes the abuse starts when the relationship is already established.

I read this story yesterday and it seems as though she was lied to also, because she found out he had a child and once she moved back to the safe haven her mom’s home he started to increase his threats. but he will pay. May her soul RIP

First of all Mackydog you just cant make assumptions about the situation! Thats my pal NO they didnt just move to West Ruimveldt she grewup there! NORTHWEST!!! Some people never seems to amaze me!!! Sometimes you need to logically assess the situation and get the facts straight before you make any assumptions! Well, it appears that the Guyana police Force is impotent. They are unable to curb the rampant increase in crime in Guyana, mostly robbery and murder. Why don’t the government authorities seek international help. It is no shame to do so. The Police Force, to be fair, is ill-equipped. It needs more vehicles, and maybe the personnel need more specialized training. I am a former member of the police fore in Guyana. This was during the sixties. There never was this influx of criminal activities. People were free to go about their affairs with full assurance that they were secure. Today, however, a Guyanese is not safe, evenin the daytime hours.

My country is crying and my country is dying. It is sad to see, a beautyful younglady loose her life in this manner. How can someone have the heart to take another man’s life. My respect goes out to the family. If my country is going to change, the people of guyana have to change also. First, it has to start with the government. second, our school system have to do a total 360. Many people underate the power of knowledge and eduaction. whenever I hear about my country asking for money to do a new project. In my heart i want guyana to received the grant, but in my mind, we all know where it it is going. RIP Shenese Richardson-Austin and may ur family finds closure.

I am really disgusted at the gross lawlessness in Guyana. The Police is quick to respond that ‘ the trail has gone cold.’ how could the trail go cold when they are not even train to conduct an investigation.Stop with the bribe and give value to human lives.
What is the Police Comissioner being paid for? what is the purpose of the Home Affairs Ministry? Would it be another cold case like Mr. Foster’s daughter?Mr. President help us .Stop talking and start acting.
