Judge and Mxiu –the Usa , canada and england have hundreds –maybe thousands of unsolved cases also –with all the crime fighting technology . Guyana is a third world country and is doing its best within its capabilities . Just look at unsolved mysteries , cold cases and other programs in the usa and you will see . Also many persons are convicted wrongly here –yes in the USA .So dont be bashing guyana —be concerned about where you reside now .

The police detective and others seems to me lack the skills of catching those who kill other people or other violent crimes. I was told that many times they were paid to keep silent. I think they need to think about how they would feel if it was their family. Or those detective might be killed if they did anything

Guyana police force like may has said do not have the trained professionals the proper forensics and are under paid put that all together and it doesnt take a scientist to figure out the rest u know the problem fix it get better results.

Judging from some of these reports of Crime in Guyana,it will appear that the Society is in an advanced stage of Moral decay.Ill-treating,raping,and murdering women seem to be high on the list.It is so easy to blame the Government and the Police.Criminal behaviour seems to be on the increase.Time for the Criminologists,Sociologsts,the Church,and other Organisations to assist in bringing this situation under control.The Government and the Police cannot solve this Problem.Maybe some Opposition politicians can also give a hand.So sad for our people.

some of these dont have to be unsolved for instance mr ardells murder there was an old police according to the report that was involved and they were a group he should be able to tell and should be charged with the mans murder,the system in guyana is just a big joke,they play too many game.

There is too much corruption in the system.
From high level to the bottom.
Its been like this for 60 years that I know of.
Every policeman, and his superior have their hands out.
Ask any businessman , they will tell you.
The ones still in business wont talk,
You have to check the older, retired businessmen,
Maybe they will tell you.
Also chech the sanitary inspectors, while you’re at it.
And the custom officers. IT’S WHO YOU KNOW. HOW YOU GREASE THE PALM.

I am reading ALL the bloggers comments, and they are all on point, the problem with that is NO one is calling on the Attorney General to either table legislation to Parliment for stiffer Mandatory Sentencing Guidelines, it’s time Guyana move out of the dark ages and legislate STRICTER MANDATORY SENTENCING. The way to do this is to renew the table of sentencing to reflect harsher sentences for criminal activity, for example murder,,,AUTOMATIC LIFE IN PRISON WITHOUT PAROLE. That would free up the justice system to hand down these sentences according to the GUIDELINED and move the process along quickly, the Judges position now becomes a referee, who overseers the sentencing process, take ALL MURDERS OFF THE STREETS, and send a clear message that this type of behavior will not be tolerated. People who commit murder will not be sitting in jail awaiting trial because you have a guideline that tells you ahead of time what you are going to get, LIFE…. LOOK,,,if you get a flat on your car, bike, scooter, and you go to get it repaired, there is a chart showing you how much it will cost according to the damage done, why can’t we have a chart in the criminal justice system spelling out specifically what you’re going to get?. STIFFER MANDATORY SENTENCING will also stop some of the bribery in the system,,,and that will be dealt with next.

Hear the Words of the Wise Preacher , just the mention of The Guyana police Force gives me goose bumps.
Just think that the tax payers is paying so much tax but yet the have no one to protect them from those who are bent on breaking the law .
The word police sounds like bad news to Guyanese all over the world .
Murder has now become a buisness in Guyana the highest bidder on the market gets to keep his or her live and those who kill the inconnent for those to stay in power recieves a reward .
The wise preacher says take my advise stay away from Guyaa if you are looking to take a vacation the Bounty hunters are out .
