Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson on Monday granted $25,000 bail to a Sophia man accused of robbery with violence.
Quincy White, 25, a father of two of ‘B’ Field, Sophia pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that on October 27, White robbed Abdool Nazir of a silver chain valued $10,000 and used violence to commit the act. “It was a fight me and de boy had and both we get injured and I lost me wife cell phone,” White told the court in his defence. He said too the fight started because of Nazir constantly hitting him.
However, the prosecution told the court that White had been before the court for another offence in the past.
Subsequently, he was ordered to return to Court Two on January 13.

Let me see if I got this right, the prosecution advised the court that White had a previous matter that was before the court of a similar nature, and he gets bail, more and more the justice system is valadating the “death squads” existance.
so what white think , the man will stand there and allow him to rob him ? He lucky the man didn’t have a weapon.
Age 25,father of two and robbing people of their chain , what a disgrace .
Peoople are being remanded for lesser offences, this man was already before the courts, I wonder if this Judge has favorites.
