Don’t give me this lame excuse. You and I both know that it’s mostly Black women who flaunt these corpses on their heads. If it’s all int he name of fashion, then black women are easily led astray. If it’s just for fashion why haven’t Indian women adopted this craze too?

I don’t think its anything with being inferior of self . Its just another accessory to the cosmetic industry for women. Its another choice for the modern women. Its nothing new. Hair extensions have been worn as fashion since the Egyptians times, its nothing new to people mostly of African descent. The Europeans has been wearing since the twenties if you care to look at all those old black and white films. Hair extensions has just got more mainstream, for today it is part of today’s culture.
The worrying thing is the trend has got so demanding that suppliers are resulting to getting hair from corpses and kids. Its a multi million dollar business. Some people sell their hair to factories who process and sell it to outlets all over the world.

Real problem is that those women who wear it (regularly) are not proud of who they are when they look into the mirror. Most of the weaves and wigs look tacky and obviously fake. If it was just for fashion Indian and well as White women would wear it as much as women of African decent. What’s the obsession with long hair? Just another psychological effect of slavery, now mental slavery!! Take care of your natural hair and it will be healthy and strong and will GROW!! Be proud of hat God gifted you with. I’m Black and I’m proud and I’ll shout it out LOUD…Say not to WEAVE!!
