Sponge Bob, Dora for Wild Fire Fest

Wild Fire Productions is assuring the public that all systems are in place for its family entertainment event, Wild Fire Fest 2K8 slated for the National Stadium, Providence  come July 26. It has now added Sponge Bob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer to its list of entertainers.

To celebrate its first anniversary in style, the company wanted an event that would draw the attention of every member of the family, thus the idea for the ‘Fest’ was born.

It will all start some time after noon with family-oriented activities such as face painting, henna tattoos and picture opportunities with wrestling figures such as John Cena, Undertaker, Batista, and Rey Mysterio. Then as it hits nightfall, things will heat up with a super concert featuring several artists out of Trinidad together with some locals.

A press release from the entertainment company said that favourite cartoon characters, Sponge Bob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer have been added to the list of performers and will be doing a 20-minute performance on every hour from 2 pm until 5 pm. There will also be merry-go round, trampoline, go-karts and lots more to ensure that children have a fun time.

“So families can get there to enjoy great food from any of the international food bars… enjoy the kids show and games, and then either stay or come back later in the evening for the super concert with Serani, Ce’Cile, D’Hitman, Hunter, Shurwayne Winchester, and the Karma Band,” Wild Fire said. In addition patrons would be entertained by the Guyanese artist cast comprising Jory, Mystic and Ilaman out of the Brutal Jammers Camp, Celeste David, Gialiani, Typheon, Big Red, and Fojo
.
The release stated that all day comedy and entertainment will be provided by Kirk ‘Chow Pow’ Jardine, Malcolm Ferreira and the “Wild Fire Fest 2K8 Emcees”.

Stressing that the performances will be mild, the company is advising that children under 12 should be taken home before the concert starts as it will cater for a mature crowd.

The official after party will take place at the Stadium View Bar with Serani and Ce’cile. Persons can tune into NCN at 9 pm on July 25 to see the artists giving live interviews. To welcome the artists a Black and White party will be held but it is not open to members of the public.

The first 50 persons to buy tickets from Nanda’s Boutique will be part of a special promotion, which will give them the opportunity to attend the Black and White party.

Tickets cost $3,000 and children under the age of 12 will be admitted free. They are now available at Upper Level Barber Shop, Nanda’s Boutique, Nigel’s Supermarket, JR Burgers, Matt’s Record Bar, White Castle Fish Shop, June Food Shop Golden Grove East Coast, and Stadium View. Early bird tickets are already sold out and limited VIP tickets are available at Nigel’s Supermarket, Gifland OfficeMax, Nanda’s Boutique, and Upper Level Barber Shop.
