Stabbed Bajan succumbs

A Barbadian who was stabbed during an armed robbery in late December succumbed to his wound on Sunday.

The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Tyrone McDonald Best, 42, who resided at Section ‘D’, South Sophia.  According to a release issued by the police last evening, initial investigations had indicated that Best was allegedly the victim of an armed robbery on December 27. He was attacked and robbed by two men at Sophia, the police said. During the robbery Best was stabbed to his abdomen.

He was reportedly admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) and later succumbed. However, the police said they were only informed of this matter on Monday.
