A 30-year-old housewife of Port Kaituma, North West, yesterday appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson to answer the charges of possession of narcotics and possession of ammunition without licence.
It was alleged that on January 11 at Water Front, Port Kaituma, North West District, Maureen James had in her possession narcotics for the purposes of trafficking and had also on the same day in her possession ammunition without licence.

She pleaded not guilty to both charges and bail was refused. Her case was transferred to the Matthew’s Ridge Magistrate’s Court for February 3.
