Ganja trafficking accused remanded

A man who was reportedly found with a quantity of cannabis in his possession was remanded to prison yesterday when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Brian Chung pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

It is alleged that on January 23 at Kitty, Chung had in his possession 154 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

The magistrate subsequently ordered that Chung be remanded to prison and that he appear again in court on March 31.
