Several persons were arrested in Melanie Damishana, East Coast Demerara when members of the joint services swooped on the village yesterday after receiving word that a wanted man was there.

However, sources say that the man managed to elude capture.
Crime Chief Seelall Persaud would only say that the man is wanted for murder and acting on information the ranks went into the area early yesterday morning.
