Ice pick robbery accused remanded

A twenty-one-year-old man who allegedly used an ice pick to rob another man of a quantity of cash and several other items was remanded to prison on Tuesday when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Regan Ramai was not required to plead to the indictable charge of robbery under arms.

It is alleged that on February 13, Ramai used an ice pick to rob Sheldon Roberts of an MP4 player, a quantity of cash and a cell phone, totalling $87,000.
The magistrate subsequently ordered that Ramai be remanded to prison and that he appear back in court on March 18.
