Cop injured in road crash

A police officer was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital nursing a broken leg, following an accident that took place shortly after 2:30 pm yesterday.

The injured officer is Jermaine Durant, 24, who is attached to the Plaisance Tactical Services Unit (TSU).

According to reports, Durant was heading east along Princes Street on motorcycle CF 1754 when he collided with motor car PKK 4742, which was travelling south along Smyth Street.  After the collision the car reportedly lost control and collided with a pole in the vicinity.
