Docol recently donated a full cylinder of medical oxygen to the Ruimveldt Children’s Home and Care Centre for children who suffer from respiratory conditions.

In a press release Demerara Oxygen Company (Docol) Brand Manager Dave Sharma said the centre approached the company for assistance because of the high cost of medical oxygen. Docol also provided the required fittings including the flow meter and regulator. It has also committed to refilling the cylinder whenever the need arises.

Assistant Administrator at the Centre Jennifer Babb expressed gratitude to Docol for the donation. Eighteen children including some who suffer from HIV are currently housed at the Centre.
