The community of Amelia’s Ward in Linden will be buzzing with activities today when the Kashif and Shanghai organization stages its inaugural Inter-Ward Fitness Day from 10am.

According to the K&S organization, the event is to encourage the people of Linden to continue being health conscious.

Children from eight-years-old as well as veterans will participate in BMX and mountain bike races, athletics and race-walking.

There will also be a number of novelty events.

Police and medical personnel will be on hand to ensure a smooth flow in the day’s activity.

One of the much-anticipated events will be the 40m dash featuring personalities such as Kashif Muhammad, Aubrey Major, Horace James, Rajin Ganga, Franklin Wilson and Joe Chapman.

The event has received tangible support from Bakewell, Ansa McAl and Banks DIH.
