The North American Chapter of the Covent Garden Secondary School recently donated a desk to the head teacher “to help make the day to day functioning of the office” easier.

According to a press release representative Lorraine Parvatan presented the desk to headmistress Ms Duncan at a simple ceremony at the school. Parvatan said the need for a desk was “painfully obvious” during a meeting at the school last year.  A beaming Ms Duncan said she was grateful to the past students of the school for all the support that they continue to lend to the school. She also pledged to work closer with the local chapter to make the school even better.

According to the release in October the past students had presented a $60,000 cheque to the school’s agriculture department to provide practical teaching aids for the students who are preparing to write the subject at this year’s CSEC exams.
