The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) in its Easter message says that the story of the crucifixion   and resurrection of Jesus Christ is an inspiration for people who are constantly struggling for peace, progress and prosperity.

According to a release from the party, it is committed to the ideals of building a country where all Guyanese will have equal opportunities and where wealth can be created and distributed to all the classes and strata who are involved in positive development in the society.

Guyanese must always express and extend solidarity and support to persons who are struggling against oppression of all kinds, the release noted.

The PPP extended best wishes to all Guyanese, especially to members of the Christian community, on the Easter Holiday.
