X-ray picks up four bullets in man

An x-ray examination on a 39-year-old Linden man, who was beaten up yesterday, revealed that he had four bullets in his body.

Patrick Henry of Victory Valley, Wismar, Linden, was admitted to the open ward of the Georgetown Public Hospital after being transferred from the McKenzie Hospital yesterday. This newspaper was told that Henry had been beaten up by residents in the community and sustained a broken arm as a result.

It was not clear why he was beaten.

At the hospital yesterday he had been taken for an x-ray and this showed that he had four bullets embedded in his body; two in his left and right shoulder and two in the left and right side of his abdomen, a hospital source said.  Henry is expected to undergo surgery to remove the bullets.  Police are investigating the matter.
