Castellani House remembers Mrs Jagan

Castellani House will on Tuesday host “An Evening of Remembrance” in tribute to the late former president Janet Jagan.
The event will take place in the main first floor gallery of Castellani House and is slated to start at 5 pm and end around 6.30 pm.

According to a press release, the programme will include readings and performances of poetry, prose and selections of music on pan, guitar and piano all in celebration of Mrs Jagan’s “life-long love, support and promotion of the visual literary and performing arts, which benefited not only artists but the wider public through the activities of her private and public life.”

Mrs Jagan served as the Chairman of the Management Committee of the National Gallery of Art at Castellani House from 1993 to 2009.

Members of the public are invited to attend.
