CIOG remembers Jagan’s sacrifices

The Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) acknowledges the sacrifices made by former President Janet Jagan in its condolence message on her passing.

In a press release the CIOG says it joins with other Guyanese in remembering too Jagan’s gentleness and patience even when vilified and provoked.

The release also noted that Jagan’s struggle for freedom and the working class is well documented.

Having arrived here in her early 20s she made Guyana her home and “never spared a moment to dedicate her life for a just cause,” the CIOG said, adding her demise is a tremendous loss to Guyana.
