Colin Mack rape PI

VC on stand again

The virtual complainant (VC) in the Colin Mack rape case was on the stand again yesterday when the preliminary inquiry (PI) continued before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robert-son at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Though Mack’s attorney Glen Hanoman argued quite forcefully for bail for his client, his arguments were not convincing enough. Mack was further remanded and will return to court on April 30.

The PI into the rape charge against the promoter started on April 17 at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court with the 19-year-old (VC) and another witness taking the stand.

When Mack made his initial appearance at the Magistrate’s Court on April 15, he was not required to plead to the indictable charge of rape, which stated that on April 12, he had sexual intercourse with a 19-year-old girl without her consent.
