The body of a man was discovered close to an uncompleted house at La Bonne Intention, East Coast Demerara last night.

He appeared to have been murdered, residents said. It was not clear if his identity had been established by the police and persons in the area could not say whether he was from the community. According to reports the man was clothed only in his briefs. He appeared to have been gagged and his throat appeared to have been slit, according to a resident.

There are few houses close to where the body was found at Onion Field close to the LBI sugar estate. The body was taken to the Lyken’s Funeral home.
