Corbin for surgery today

Opposition Leader Robert Corbin is expected to undergo surgery today in a New York hospital, according to a release from the PNCR.

The party did not state for what ailment Corbin would undergo surgery; though noting that there was a significant improvement in his health as he continued to receive medical attention in Long Island, New York.

According to the release, Corbin was initially hospitalised at the Heart Centre, St Francis Hospital, Long Island, where he underwent tests, evaluation and medical procedures including angiography. The release said he was later discharged from the facility but was subjected to a series “of medical tests and evaluation as a result of which, he is expected to undergo surgery tomorrow [today].”

“His doctors expect a full recovery shortly thereafter,” the release said.
The party acknowledged the many expressions of concern and good wishes from friends, supporters and well-wishers adding that all the messages had been conveyed to Corbin.

Corbin had driven himself to a city hospital two Saturdays ago after he had experienced pain in his chest and he was taken by medivac to New York last week Monday.
