The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) said patients have been relocated from the Surgical Block to facilitate ongoing construction on the new in-patient facility.

In a press release the hospital said from Wednesday last, patients housed at A1 and A2 were relocated to the middle floor of the Interns Flat and patients from B1 and B2 to the top floor of the same flat.

The C1 and C2 patients are now housed in the area which formerly housed the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic. Patients from the Female Medical ward have been relocated to the area which formerly housed the Surgical Out-patient Unit and this unit has been relocated to the Medical Clinic area. These two clinics will be sharing the area temporarily, the release said.

The GPHC said the Interns Flat is located opposite the Ambulatory Care and Diagnostic Centre building.

It said too it regrets any inconvenience caused and looks forward to the public’s cooperation.
