A 38-year-old man who allegedly had carnal knowledge of a 15-year-old girl was remanded to prison on Wednesday when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Brian Chung of Lot 79 Da Silva Street, Kitty, was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge of carnally knowing a 15-year-old girl.

It is alleged that on May 31, Chung had carnal knowledge of the teen.
He was represented by attorney-at-law Adrian Thompson who failed in his attempt to obtain bail for him.

The magistrate subsequently ordered that Chung be remanded to prison and that he appear back in court on June 12.
