Police discovered the skeletal remains of what is suspected to be a young person at Maikwak, Upper Potaro yesterday.

The police said that no further information is available on the discovery, and informed that an investigation is underway in a press release issued last night.

Meanwhile, the police also reported that a raid was conducted at a home at Reliance, Canjie, Berbice on Friday last and that an unlicenced .32 magnum revolver with 17 matching rounds was unearthed.

The police said that they received certain information and searched the home just after 7 pm. Investigations are continuing, the release added.
