UCLA Professor to lecture on Gandhi

Professor Vinay Lal, lecturer in the Department of History, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is scheduled to deliver a lecture titled “The West’s Gandhi and Gandhi’s West” tomorrow at        1 pm in the Education Lecture Theatre at the University of Guyana, Turkeyen Campus.

The public is invited to the lecture which is being hosted by the Social Studies Department of the School of Education and Humanities, a press release from UG said.

Professor Lal has written extensively on Indian history, Gandhi, the Indian Diaspora and American politics.

He has to his credit nine books which have been translated into several languages, including French, German and Korean, the release said.
