Noble, 22, of 3832 Zoey Lee Drive, Smallville, Georgia appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton on July 25, 2008 charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

Police on Thursday issued a wanted bulletin for the woman and indicated that an arrest warrant was issued for her after the completion of a trial found her guilty of the said charge.

Noble, a fashion student, was arrested at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri with 1 kg 818 grammes of cocaine in her possession on July 23, 2008. She had been vacationing in Guyana and, at the time, was represented by attorney-at-law Ronald Burch-Smith.

The cocaine, reports had said, was found in the false walls of two suitcases belonging to Noble who was an outgoing passenger on a flight bound for Miami via Barbados.

The matter had been transferred to the Providence Magistrate’s Court where the trial was subsequently conducted and Noble granted bail. She failed to attend court after bail was posted.

Police said the trial proceeded in Noble’s absence. She was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment along with a fine of $30,000 on Thursday.
“Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of [Tyreca] Alberta Noble is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 226-2870, 225-1111, 225-2700, 911 or the nearest police station,” the police release said. All information, they further said, will be treated with strict confidence.
