New deadline for vehicle licences

The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) has extended the deadline for the acquisition of motor vehicle licences until July 15.

In a press release the GRA said persons who fail to comply with the deadline will be penalised under the law. A fine of 10% of the licence cost is the penalty for motor vehicle licences purchased after the said date.

The GRA said too the extension was granted to facilitate persons who may not have been able to purchase the document before the end of the agreed grace period.
