Man accused of indecent assault remanded

Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson remanded a 22-year-old man accused of indecent assault when he on Wednesday appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

It is alleged that on Tuesday, Lloyd Allicock of 103 Brickdam, Police Quarters, indecently assaulted a woman.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him at court.

Prosecutor Denise Griffith told the court that on the day in question the woman was walking along Lance-Gibbs Street, Queenstown when Allicock who was walking behind her, grabbed her and fondled her breast and other private parts.

The woman then made a report at a police station. He was later arrested and charged.

Allicock was ordered to appear in Court Five on Thursday.
