Friday’s scheduled meeting of the Parliamentary Sectoral Committee on Economic Services to discuss the “proposed areas of concern for the Commissioner of Insurance” was postponed because members of the committee had not been provided with the requisite documents however the press was not notified of the change.

Clerk of the National Assembly Sherlock Isaacs told this newspaper that the meeting was primarily being held to discuss the affairs of CLICO, but explained that it was postponed because the relevant documentation concerning the company had not been given to the committee.

Stabroek News turned up for the meeting only to be told it was no longer being held.
