Shiney Ahuja’s bail plea rejected

MUMBAI (Reuters) – A city court on Wednesday rejected the bail application of Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja who is in prison on charges of rape, prosecutors said.

The actor, who has been sent to judicial custody till July 16, had applied for bail on the grounds that he was falsely implicated by his maid.

“The court has refused to grant him bail,” Chief Public Prosecutor Ramnath Kini told Reuters.
