South Sophia man denies having ganja

A man who allegedly had a quantity of cannabis in his position was yesterday granted bail in the sum of $25,000 when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

It is alleged that on July 10 at Georgetown, Kenneth Bovell of 208 Block ‘E’ South Sophia had in his possession seven grammes of cannabis.

Bovell pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.
He has to return to court on November 13 for the commencement of his trial.
