GRPA remembers Cox as tireless leader

The Guyana Responsible Parenthood Association (GRPA) said it remembers late executive director Frederick Cox as a tireless and focused leader.

In a press release the GRPA said it also remembers Cox as father, brother, uncle, friend and mentor to all who worked with him. It said under his leadership over the past 15 years it had made considerable strides in its delivery of sexual and reproductive health services.

Cox was said to be “deeply concerned about the spiralling reports of domestic violence” and was committed to encouraging men to take seriously their roles and responsibilities in the home.

The GRPA said the funeral service for Cox will be held at the Church of the Transfiguration on Mandela Avenue today from 2 pm. The body will be interred at the St James-The-Less Church cemetery on David Street, Kitty.

The GRPA office will be closed to the public today and tomorrow.
