The Private Sector Commis-sion (PSC) says it “deplores the apparently deliberate act of arson” perpetrated on the Ministry of Health and hopes that it is not an indication of the level to which the country’s politics has descended.

In a press release the PSC said it expects every Guyanese will condemn without reservation this abhorrent act and that no stone will be left unturned to apprehend and bring to justice the perpetrators.
The PSC also commends Minister Dr Leslie Ramsammy and his staff for their immediate actions following the disaster by ensuring that essential health care services are still being delivered.

The PSC also urged the government to take all necessary steps to ensure the safety and protection of all government entities.
