A delegation from the Parliamentary Sectoral Committee on Social Services will be visiting the National Insurance Scheme’s offices in Berbice on August 3 as part of the Committee’s mandate.

According to a release from Parliament Office, the Committee will be visiting the Port Mourant, Corentyne and New Amsterdam offices to observe the procedures that the offices use in dealing with the issues affecting pensioners and claimants. Discussions with staff, pensioners and claimants will also be held.

The delegation will be at the Port Mourant office between the hours of 10 am and 12 noon and at the New Amsterdam office between the hours of 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm.
