Godfrey Chin launches pictorial Nostalgia

Godfrey Chin teamed up with corporate sponsors, GT&T and Banks DIH Ltd to launch his Nostalgia Pictorial History of 20th Century Guyana exhibition.

The first showing of the exhibition, a pictorial history of scouting in Guyana 1909 to 2009, will be during the 14th Caribbean Jamboree in the Main Auditorium at the Sophia Exhibition Centre.

The exhibits feature pictures of the first Jamboree held locally and showcases contingents at World Jamboree at Arrowpoint UK 1929, INDABA and Greece 1963 including previous 13 Caribbean Jamborees. Highlights of the exhibit include the third Caribbean Jamboree held at the Queen Elizabeth Park as well as “Scouting today in Guyana”.

Subsequent exhibitions will be held at the Centennial Celebrations of the National Library, the St Stanislaus and Queen’s College reunions and at GuyExpo in September.
