Brazilian dies at Arimu

A 62-year-old Brazilian, who reportedly drowned, was found at Arimu, Cuyuni River on Friday.

The partly decomposed body of Joao Alves De Santos, a miner employed with Pedro Varvosa, is currently at the Lyken’s Funeral Parlour. Details of the incident are not known by Stabroek News. However, reports reaching this newspaper say that police from the E&F Division [responsible for interior locations] were responsible for the transfer of Varvosa’s remains to Georgetown.
