MV Northcote for Berbice River

The MV Northcote will provide ferry service across the Berbice River at the end of a dry-docking exercise it is undergoing at the Mazaruni docks.

According to a Government Information Agency press release Cabinet Secretary Dr Roger Luncheon made this announcement at his weekly post-Cabinet press briefing on Thursday at the Office of the President. The vessel is expected to “take on the job of ferrying from Rosignol to New Amsterdam and back during the day with sessions in the morning and sessions in the afternoon,” Luncheon said. He also said that the service would extend up the Berbice River.
