Guyana Annual invites entries

The editors of the Guyana Annual magazine are currently accepting entries for the 2009-2010 edition.
According to a press release from Guyenterprise, the next edition would be the twelfth consecutive issue of the magazine since it was revived in 1998. Petamber Persaud returns as editor for a record sixth time, while Godfrey Chin, of Guyana Nostalgia, is assisting in the production of the issue.

The magazine, first published in 1915 as the Chronicle Christmas Annual, was plagued by a few dormant periods. Its relaunch was due to the goodwill of Dr Tulsi Dyal Singh, who continues to support it, Guyenterprise said.

The closing date for entries is September 30. Submissions can be sent to: The Guyana Annual, C/o Guyenterprise Limited, 234 Lance Gibbs and Irving streets, Queenstown. For more information persons are asked to contact the editor at telephone number 226-0065 or by email at oraltradition2002@yahoo.com.
