Crabwood Creek rice vendor fleeced

A 35-year-old Crabwood Creek rice vendor was yesterday afternoon robbed by one of the three men he had employed to assist him in the fetching of his rice.

Police sources yesterday told Stabroek News that Wazier Dipchand of 18 Grant 1780 Crabwood Creek was robbed of $730,000 by one of his gun-slinging employees.

Reports are that the man and his three porters had sold rice for most of yesterday when at around 13:15 at Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, one of his employees whipped out a gun and robbed him of the money.

The man made good his escape and the police are now investigating.
