US Embassy hosting forum on press freedom

The US Embassy will host a public forum on press freedom and freedom of information laws on September 23 at the Pegasus Hotel.

In a press release the embassy said distinguished US journalist, freelance writer and public relations consultant Herb Frazier will be the resource person at the forum. Frazier has covered both US and international news in his long career. His domestic experience ranges from issues such as health care and the criminal justice system to national events including numerous US presidential elections. Internationally, he has covered the fall of the Berlin Wall, the late 1990s war in Bosnia and Rwanda as it struggled after genocide.

The embassy said it “welcomes the participation of all concerned with the virtues and values of the free press.” The session will start at 5 pm.
