Live your beliefs -Mayor

Georgetown Mayor Hamilton Green is urging that EID-UL-FITR be used as an occasion for healing, while living according to beliefs.

“Today marks the end of that significant period and I am confident that it has left every believer a better person, prepared to play a role to improve conditions in Guyana,” Green explained in his official message to mark the end of Ramadan, while extending greetings to citizens. He added that it is neither a time for platitudes or social engineering but a time for healing and living for the sake of others and making a reality of our professed beliefs. “…Only then can we travel along the road to love and peace, and make the month of Ramadan meaningful,” he said.
