GPL said power supply to the West Coast Demerara has again been boosted with the commissioning of a sixth generator at the Versailles Power Station.

In a press release the company said last week it returned a fifth generator to service which boosted supply and with the addition of a sixth engine the electricity supply has been stabilised.

GPL is also appealing to consumers to conserve electricity. It advises that they replace incandescent bulbs with energy savers.
