Magistrate Tejnarine Ramroop ordered the unrepresented accused, Ramesh Sahadeo, to return to court on October 21 for report.

The court heard that on September 20 at Bush Lot, Sahadeo reportedly slashed the neck of 17-year-old Darshanan Ramanan of 17 of Bush Lot Housing Scheme killing him.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charge.

Reports are that Ramanan was at the corner of the street while the defendant was passing and an argument ensued between them. It is alleged that Sahadeo dealt Ramanan a single chop to his neck and calmly walked away.

Reports are that Ramanan was seen running frantically up and down the street a few times before collapsing to the ground, bleeding profusely. He died before receiving medical attention. The police arrived promptly at the scene and arrested the defendant at his house.

A post-mortem examination conducted yesterday revealed that the teen died from shock and haemorrhage due to a incise wound on the neck.
