Stefan Bobb, the 13-year-old who was allegedly stabbed by his classmate on Wednesday, remains in a “stable but critical condition” at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).

The teen, according to his older sibling Eon Fraser, underwent surgery yesterday morning and was at the time suffering from internal haemorrhaging.

Bobb was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon after a fellow student reportedly attacked him with a pair of scissors.

The teen had told relatives that he had asked his classmate, who was sitting in his seat, to move when the young man became enraged, dashed for a pair of scissors and stabbed Bobb to the left side chest.

Stabroek News learnt from Fraser that Bobb’s family met the school’s administration on Thursday but he could not say what the results of the meeting were. This newspaper was unable to contact the teen’s mother, Tricia, yesterday.

Fraser expressed hope that as soon as his brother’s internal haemorrhaging stops his condition will improve.
