Eye clinic for primary school children

The Lions Club of Durban Park will tomorrow be hosting an eye clinic for Primary aged children at the Guyana Cricket Club ground in observance of Lions World Sight Day.

According to a statement from the Club, for more that eleven years Lions World Sight Day has been observed annually in October focusing attention on eliminating preventable blindness and improving sight.

The special sight-related projects the Club is involved in, the statement said, include vision screening mainly for primary schools, provision of spectacles for needy students, organizing eye surgeries as required and follow-up treatment.
