Cumberland residents robbed while playing music

Three men, two armed with guns, pounced on three Cumberland residents who were playing music at their “bottom house” shortly before 11 pm on Friday and robbed them of several articles.

At about 10.40 pm on Friday, police said in a press release on Saturday evening, Indranie Jotis, Vishal Ramlochan called Steve and Nicholas Ramlochan called Paul were under their house at Nandram Street, Cumberland Canje, Berbice playing music when the suspects pounced on them demanding money and jewellery , discharging several rounds in the process.

The victims, police said, were ordered to lie on the ground and robbed of a gold band, one DVD player and a cellular phone. The men escaped.
