John Tracey new GBTI CEO

The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) has appointed John Tracey as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

According to a press release from the Public Communications Consultants Limited, Tracey joined the bank 19 years ago when it merged with Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited. He served as Corporate Secretary and Director (Credit) since that time.

He began his banking career in 1972 and was General Manager of Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited for four years prior to managing the merger of the two banks in 1990.

Tracey has been responsible for the oversight of the general operations of the bank. He replaces former CEO Radhakrishna Sharma, who resigned to pursue further career growth and professional advancement in other areas.
